Description

Lunatica is a new series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian designer Giovanni Meroni and printed by USPCC.

There are four decks in the Lunatica Series:
Lunatica Equinox – Yellow and blue tuck box
Lunatica Solstice – Orange and violet tuck box
Lunatica Chimera – Limited
Lunatica Phoenix – Limited

Lunatica’s main theme is, of course, the Moon – but this theme has two faces. The most obvious is the mythologycal and astral aspect of the Earth’s satellite.
The hidden face is the psychologic aspect: the Moon is also the symbol of the mercurial human emotion, that can change from sadness to happiness in a blink of an eye.

Scarlett ★★★★★

The Phoenix deck has this warm metallic ink on the tuck that catches light in a way photos just don't capture. Out of the box the cards fan smoothly thanks to the USPC coating, and the courts feel bold without being overdone. Four decks into this series and I'm still impressed.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The foil accents on the tuck box catch the light in a way photos don't do justice, and the courts are genuinely detailed rather than recycled. Shuffles smooth straight from the box thanks to the USPCC printing, no breaking in needed. Easily the nicest deck I've picked up this year.

Eva ★★★★★

The foil detailing on the tuck case is genuinely striking in person, way nicer than the photos suggest. Shuffles smooth right out of the box thanks to the USPCC printing, and the artwork on each court card is worth slowing down for.
