Fear and Hope are generous, and they forged some coins with their effigy to inspire, reward and bribe their favourite mortals. Of course, as you probably realized, the New Gods love nihilist donations, so you can win their favor (and their coins) donating cold hard cash.

Coins are blessed by the Gods themselves. Hope Coin has the power to realize mortal’s dreams, and Fear Coin protect mortals from the bad luck.

Idols love the Coins of the Gods. They respect and bless the mortals who bring them, and they’re eager to receive those as donations.

The first coin of Modern Idols, dedicated to the Goddess of Hope.

The detail on the effigy is genuinely sharper than I expected, and the weight makes it feel like something you'd actually wager. I keep it in my jacket pocket now as a little reminder that hope's the better bet.

The coin has a nice heft in the hand and the Hope effigy detail is sharper than I expected from the photos. It's been sitting on my desk as a little good-luck piece before big meetings, and honestly it works.

Nicholas ★★★★★

I half-expected a cheap trinket, but the weight of this coin in my palm is genuinely satisfying. The face of Hope on one side feels like a small talisman to carry when the day gets rough, and the nihilist twist on the back makes me chuckle every time I flip it.
