Compare the Snake Charmer EX edition with the standard deck. Learn about rarity, materials, and which collector edition fits your goals.
Quick answer
The Snake Charmer EX is a limited Patreon reward with holographic copper foil and only 500 numbered units, while the standard deck is a regular release. Choose the EX if you value exclusivity and premium finishing; pick the standard edition for everyday handling or a lower entry price.
Rarity and availability
The Snake Charmer EX is an Eternal Edition reserved for Thirdway Industries Patrons, limited to 500 sealed and individually numbered units. The standard deck, by contrast, is produced in a larger run and remains available through regular retail channels. This makes the EX significantly harder to find after its initial release.
Materials and finishing
The EX edition uses luxury dark blue matte paper for the tuck box and features holographic copper hot foil on both the inside and outside of the box, as well as on both sides of the cards. The standard deck uses more conventional materials and finishes, which keeps production costs lower but lacks the premium tactile and visual effects of the EX.
Snake Charmer EX vs Standard: Trade-offs
- Exclusivity: EX is limited to 500 numbered units and was a Patreon reward; the standard edition is widely available. If you want a deck that will appreciate in scarcity, the EX is the clear choice.
- Materials and finish: EX uses holographic copper hot foil on the tuck and cards, plus dark blue matte paper; standard uses conventional materials. The EX offers a noticeably richer unboxing experience and visual impact.
- Price and accessibility: EX is priced at USD 65 (catalog comparison USD 100) and requires Patreon access; standard is more affordable and easier to buy. The standard deck is better for budget-conscious collectors or those who want to use the deck regularly.
