Fantasma Extreme vs Order Electus: Which Deck Fits Your Style?

Quick answer

Choose Fantasma Extreme for its invisible ink spectacle and holographic foil; choose Order Electus for its metallic inks, layered foil tuckbox, and USPCC Bicycle stock.

Invisible Ink vs Metallic Inks

Fantasma Extreme uses four different colors of invisible ink (red, aqua, blue, orange) on courts, pips, and jokers, revealed only under blacklight. This creates a hidden layer of design that changes the deck's appearance completely in the right setting. Order Electus, on the other hand, uses superb metallic inks that catch light without any special equipment, making its intricate Order Series artwork visible at all times.

If you enjoy surprising spectators or revealing hidden details, the Fantasma Extreme's invisible ink is a standout feature. If you prefer a deck that looks striking under normal lighting, Order Electus delivers with its metallic finish.

Foil and Tuckbox Quality

Both decks feature impressive foil work, but in different ways. Fantasma Extreme has gold holographic hotfoil on the card backs and holographic gold foil on the box, plus pearlescent paper on the tuckbox. Order Electus uses two layers of foil (gold and black) on its tuckbox, along with embossing, giving it a textured, premium feel.

The Fantasma Extreme's holographic foil creates a shifting, rainbow effect that changes with angle. Order Electus's layered foil and embossing offer a more tactile, sophisticated presentation. Consider whether you value visual dynamism or tactile luxury.

Printing and Stock Differences

Fantasma Extreme is printed by Kingstar, while Order Electus is printed by USPCC on Bicycle stock. USPCC's Bicycle stock is widely trusted for card handling and durability, making Order Electus a practical choice for cardists or magicians who handle decks frequently. Kingstar's printing is known for quality, but the specific stock for Fantasma Extreme is not detailed, so handling feel may vary.

If you plan to use the deck for cardistry or magic, Order Electus's Bicycle stock is a safer bet. If the deck is primarily for display or occasional use, the Fantasma Extreme's unique features outweigh the unknown handling.
